We are big believers of taking a daily cold shower. There are numerous physical benefits, but the most noticeable are psychological. When your body is exposed to cold water your brain produces a chemical called Norepinephrine which feels a lot like Adrenaline. You might ease into the transition by starting with warm (not hot showers) or dive right in and welcome the brrrrrrr. Two minutes under cold water is a nice starting point. In the coming years we are going to see doctors do amazing things with stem cells. Today we are only scratching the surface!! At Stanford, they recently injected stem cells directly into the brain of a woman who suffered a stroke. After the stroke she couldn’t walk. Following stem cell treatments, now she can.
